French Toast Roses
ingredients
- 3 eggs
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 30 ml (almond) milk
- 20 g (soy) protein powder (optional for more protein, does make it a bit more dry tho)
- 21 slices (white) bread
Cinnamon Glaze
- 3 tbsp agave syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
instructions
- Whisk the eggs. Add the nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and milk.
- In a different bowl, mix the ingredients for the cinnamon glaze.
- Cut rounds out of the bread.
- Grease the rounds with the egg wash on both sides. Afterwards, grease both sides with the cinnamon glaze.
- Place the 7 rounds in a line. Make sure they cover each other a little bit.
- Roll them up and create a rose.
- Bake for 15 minutes on 190 C.
