French Toast Roses

Pretty, romantic and delicious!
It takes more effort than making a regular French toast, but it is definitely worth it!

ingredients
  

  • 3 eggs
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 30 ml (almond) milk
  • 20 g (soy) protein powder (optional for more protein, does make it a bit more dry tho)
  • 21 slices (white) bread

Cinnamon Glaze

  • 3 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

instructions
 

  • Whisk the eggs. Add the nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and milk.
  • In a different bowl, mix the ingredients for the cinnamon glaze.
  • Cut rounds out of the bread.
  • Grease the rounds with the egg wash on both sides. Afterwards, grease both sides with the cinnamon glaze.
  • Place the 7 rounds in a line. Make sure they cover each other a little bit.
  • Roll them up and create a rose.
  • Bake for 15 minutes on 190 C.
