Mediterranean Tuna Tartare

A Mediterranean twist on a tuna tartare. This recipe is filled with tomato, burrata, pistachios and lots more.

Equipment

  • round shaped tin

ingredients
  

Tuna Tartare

  • 200 g tuna (diced)
  • 1 tomato (diced)
  • ½ red pepper (diced)
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 2 tbsp sun-dried tomatoes oil the oil from a jar of sun-dried tomatoes (or extra virgin olive oil)
  • 1 pinch salt & pepper

Parsley-Basil Oil

  • 7 g basil
  • 5 g parsley
  • 20 ml extra virgin olive oil

Toppings

  • 100 g stracciatella (the filling of burrata)
  • 20 g pistachios (crushed)

instructions
 

  • Cut the tuna, tomato, red pepper, and capers in small pieces and add it to a big bowl.
  • Add the sun-dried tomatoes oil, salt and pepper. Mix it well.
  • Place the mixture in the round-shaped tin and press it well. Take out the tin.
  • Create a little dimple in the middle of the tartare. Place the stracciatella in it.
  • Add the basil, parsley and oil to a blender and blend till smooth.
  • Drizzle the basil/parsley oil around the tartare. Sprinkle the pistachios on top.
